The key to happiness in Hawaii is elevation.
Some people do not want to always be warm? I came to Hawaii, especially Kona because it is always warm on Alii Drive, OK excerpt for a few mornings early when that mauka breeze blows from the mountain top from the east....brrrr. But my horse would hate to live on Alii Drive and North Kohala is perfect horse elevation and some people say “sleeping temperature”, those are the people who want to have a blanket to snuggle into or crops to grow...I just want a sheet and a breeze! So see.... different elevations.
